Brierley Forest Park - Nottinghamshire

I first did this page back in 2003 after first visiting this park in 2001,I have now updated this page for  July 2009.The photo's are from a sunny Sunday in April 2009
 


 Not Really a forest as such, The forest park was only made in 1999, with recently planted woodland. There are 3 miles of inter connecting Trails on the site of the old Sutton pit though locally known as Brierley pit. This Forrest park has now been linked to the Silverhill Trail via the new Brierley Branch link built on the route of the old converted pit railway line in 2007. Since being linked to the Silverhill Trail I now use Brierley Park as part of my usual circuit.
